Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)

Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens - This course is designed to enhance participants' understanding of bloodborne and airborne pathogens on the job site.

  • Hybrid or live class: $20 per student. Live classes must have 10 or more students / or added to a CPR class. Skill sessions (after a hybrid course) are free and done over internet or phone (Zoom/Google meet etc). Online portion is considered the "book" for Hybrid courses.

This newly updated lecture includes:

  • Up-to-date information consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance.
  • New coverage of COVID-19 and Ebola Virus Disease.
  • Detailed discussion on prevention and treatment strategies, exposure control plans, and post exposure management for bloodborne and airborne pathogens.

Features and benefits of interactive online lectures include:

  • A tracking tool that holds students accountable for out-of-the classroom learning. Students are unable to "fast-forward" through the online lecture slides.
  • Both text and audio narration are offered in order to address students' diverse learning styles. The text and audio narration can be enabled or disabled at any time.
  • Anytime, anywhere access that provides total flexibility for certification or refresher training.
  • A simple, user-friendly interface to ensure that students do not waste time learning how to navigate through the lecture.
  • A safe and self-paced training environment that allows students to learn at their own convenience and pace.
  • Affordable pricing for even the most budget-conscious institutions.

The run time for this course is approximately 2-3 hours.

A skills session is mandatory for our hybrid courses. You must provide proof to your instructor (of your completion of the online part) prior to any skills session;- your instructor must keep a copy for record. Skills session for this course may be done in person or via internet video call.
