Our WFA Hybrid option is two parts - Online then a Skills Session. Click here to order.
First students must complete two online courses; one for WFA and one for CPR/AED. Most students take a day or two to complete this - there is a lot to learn!
After both online courses are complete, we will coordinate with each student to find the best date/time/location for a skills session. Students will demonstrate mastery of skills taught to them during their online courses. Our skill sessions are usually in Conroe, Texas.
This course is only $125 per student and CPR/AED is taught for free.
What age must students be? The Scouts website says "Youth (14 years old and up) and adult Scout leaders are encouraged to take a 16-hour WFA course" This does not place a rule on the age of students. The requirements for any class is that the student can understand the material, perform the skills on a manikin or simulated casualty, and pass a written test. We have had 12 year old students pass this course.
BSA Wilderness First Aid is required for all high adventure camps.
Click here to purchase the Wilderness First Aid Field Guide $38.50. This guide is provided to students who attend a live class. It is optional for students who complete a Hybrid course / Skill Session.

Important note: Certification will not indicate "online course" because students MUST see an instructor prior to being certified. Certification is the exact same as one issued after a live class.
